TILLANDSIA (Air Plant)
General Info: Soil-free epiphytic plant that absorbs moisture through its leaves. Well suited to bright indoor Ontario homes.
Water: Soak in room temperature water for 20 to 30 minutes once per week. In dry winter air, soak up to twice weekly. Shake off excess water and dry upside down within 4 hours.
Sunlight: Bright indirect light.
Extra Care: Needs good airflow. Mist lightly if air is very dry. Fertilize monthly from May to November.
Pet Safety: Generally non toxic.
XEROGRAPHICA
General Info: Large silver-leaved airplant that is more drought tolerant and prefers brighter light.
Water: Soak for 20 to 30 minutes every 10 to 14 days. In dry winter air, soak every 7 to 10 days. Dry completely upside down.
Sunlight: Bright indirect light to gentle direct sun.
Extra Care: Ensure strong airflow and complete drying. Fertilize lightly monthly from May to November.
Pet Safety: Generally non toxic.
LIVE MOSS
General Info: Moisture-loving plant ideal for terrariums and shaded indoor spaces.
Water: Keep consistently moist. Mist regularly, especially in dry winter conditions. Do not allow to dry out.
Sunlight: Low to medium indirect light.
Extra Care: Prefers high humidity. Use distilled or rainwater if possible. Do not fertilize.
Pet Safety: Generally non toxic.
