General Info

Clusia can grow in water. This is also called hydroponics. Clean the roots well before placing the plant in the water
Clusia rosea is classified as a hemiepiphyte, initiating its growth as an epiphyte on other trees, deriving moisture and nutrients exclusively from the surrounding air and rain
Clusia's neutralizes harmful substances by absorbing them and breaking them down in her roots

Watering

Your Clusia will need very regular watering, having a regular schedule can help
Even though they are tolerant to short periods of droughts they should never be allowed to sit dry
When watering, ensure you are allowing the soil to be thoroughly soaked in order to let all roots be saturated

Light Requirements

They are tolerant to less direct sun, but will thrive in a sunny spot
Make sure to avoid exposed to direct afternoon sun, as it can easily burn the foliage
Keeping a high light level is crucial to the health of the tree, supplementing with a grow light can be necessary during the winter season
