General Info

NASA used pothos in many studies during the 1980s, as it has been shown to absorb and reduce indoor pollutants like formaldehyde, xylene, trichloroethane, and dust
They keep growing against most odds, they are an inspirational symbol for following your dreams
Just like ivy plants, when pothos are planted near trees, they will encircle and climb up the trees

Watering

This plant will appreciate drying out between waterings, too much water will cause the leaves to "cry" releasing the excess water
When watering, ensure you are allowing the soil to be thoroughly soaked in order to let all roots be saturated

They are highly susceptible to root rot, so planting in a high draining soil is essential

Light Requirements

They are tolerant to low light, but will thrive in a brightly lit spot
As an epiphyte, pothos grow naturally climbing the sides of tress, exposing them only to filtered sunlight
Too much sun exposure can results in yellowing or browning, showing that the leaves are burning from the heat and intensity of the sun
