The Desert Rose is a water retaining shrub which resembles the African baobab trees on a small scale. They are known for their large, fragrant blooms, which should happen once the plant reaches a certain level of maturity. The branches can grow a few inches per year, and their trunk thickens at a faster rate than standard woody shrubs, since the trunk stores water.

Caring for a Desert Rose similar to caring for succulents. They take little work to maintain and propagate, making them great practice for those new to plant care. Just like in the desert they require as much sunlight as you can spare them.
